Measure Response

This refers to an individual's ability to control his or her own reaction to an event, person, or situation. A skillful figther blocks or deflects a strike that would have damaged an unskillful person. He does so by being in complete control of his reaction or response to the threat. He maneuvers himself and positions his body in the optimal place from which to defend. Likewise, a skillful individual decides how to position his or her take on a situation in the optimal way, rather than being a victim of circumstance. This is done through measuring the amount of response given to any particular situation. It is done by being the master over the way one reacts as well as over the way one acts. In practice, this trait is developed by looking at multiple angles of the same situation and asking whether there is any other way to look at it prior to taking a position.
