ELEMENTS OF MASTERY

Precision

Precision of effort is a critical component of mastery. While any disciplined individual can train himself to consistently apply effort in a given direction, the master understands the necessity to be common mice force this means applying it directly where needed in exactly the right amount, not more and not less. Consider striking a male with a hammer. The slightest miscalculation will cause it to bend, and too little force will require multiple strikes, which uses more energy than necessary in the long run. It's more important to work in the right direction than it is to work a lot. Examine your projects closely. Ask yourself critical questions as to whether you may be doing a lot of work that is not immediately impacting your bottom line. Is it possible to focus on more precise actions that will lead to faster resolution?
